The beautiful dancers from the Chandana Wickremasinghe Dance Troupe choreographed their dances for some of my popular songs such as “Api Enathuru”, “Sudu Kurullek” and “Me Lokaye Sundara Pathuma”.
Song writes and lyric writers who made a tremendous contribution to my album had an opportunity to listen to their songs live at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on 9 July 2006 along with a large gathering.
The theme song “Oba Nisa” was directed by Visharadha Neela Wickremasinghe.
I had the finest opportunities of performing the song “Chanda Sayuru” -- directed by Jagath Wickremasinghe and written by Deshanjali Wickremasinghe in the United Kingdom -- at the Peterborough Music Festival. The Sri Lanka Tourist Board invited me to perform “Chanda Sayuru” at the First Commemoration ceremony, which was held at the Bentota Beach. I was privileged to sing to the survivors -- directly into their eyes -- at the beach where the huge tsunami wave took away their dwellings along with their loved ones. “Chanda Sayuru” is totally dedicated to those who survived the tsunami. Life has to move on for those who are left alone – but they are too humbled to move on - by themselves. My goal is to uplift their spirits even in a very small way - and of course, to make a difference in their valuable lives.
I am a member of the United Nations International Choir and I will continue to sing to the 'Peoples' in the international community in many languages across the world.
'WISH YOU LOVE AND PEACE'
